State Level Affiliated Groups
The National Social Studies Leaders Association is dedicated to empowering and supporting educational leaders who are creating effective, inclusive, and equitable systems that advance the teaching and learning of PK-12 social studies.
We promote the interest of social studies leaders engaged in instruction, curriculum and material development, research, pre and in-service training of teachers, and social action. NSSLA encourages and assists in the development of high-quality leadership practices which result in the improvement of social studies instruction.
NSSLA offers its services and assistance to leaders at state and local levels in their efforts to initiate similar organizations.
